Lauriol Plaza is a great casual but more upscale Mexican restaurant. The Monetary Salad was fantastic - house made dressing, huge portion. Staff are super friendly, big open space. A little loud but otherwise great. I look forward to coming back next time I'm in DC!

I would recommend this restaurant. Service was good and food was good. Items we got Fried calamari - good but not great. Not really fried but seasoned well Chicken fajitas Shrimp tacos Beef tacos Everything was good. They did mess up one order but fixed it immediately. We got pitcher of margaritas (lime). Those were the favorite and I would come back for that alone. Ambience was a mix crowd of families, young, older, etc Nice decor and spacious.

Another amazing meal and experiences. I have been coming to lauriol plaza for more than 20 years and it never a gets old. The wait staff is amazing, the food is fresh, reasonably priced and the experience is fitting for a celebration dinner or a romantic dinner for two. Keep doing what you're doing. and if you're lucky enough to sit in Christina's section.. you'll be in great hands.

Parking wasn't bad, but I might have gotten lucky. Worst case scenario, you park a 4-5 minute walk away. Was sat immediately. The place is HUGE. Don't think that it's not worth going if you don't have a reservation. By huge, I mean 3 expansive floors, an outdoor seating area, and an indoor rooftop deck. I sat with a friend at the table furthest from the rooftop entrance. Cool view of the strip outside, and close to the bar. The food and drinks came out alarmingly fast. I had the crab and shrimp quesadilla, which quite literally came out in 4-5 minutes. The quesadilla had a good meat to cheese ratio (40:60) and was portioned well. It wasn't soggy, which a lot of quesadillas have problems with, and paired well with the tomatoes, jalapeños and guacamole that came on the side. 10/10 The chips and salsa that came on the house were standard. The chips could use seasoning, and the salsa was the watery type, which isn't my favorite. 5/10 The strawberry daiquiri was delicious- light, flavorful and fresh. 10/10 The lemonade (with lime added) receives the same regards. Fresh, the right amount of tartness and sweetness. 10/10 My friend's review stats: Quesadilla- 8/10 Margarita on the rocks- 10/10 Chips and warm salsa- 9/10 Service was efficient.

Mexican food is my comfort food. Sit me down in front of an eye pleasing plate piled high with delicious food and I am a happy man. It's such a simple construction of food with so many depths of flavor that if you complain, your palette is too juvenile. If you can't enjoy some flavor, Mexican food is not for you. I came here with a large group of people and they were accommodating to our party. We were basically up against the partition that separated that bar and restaurant. Tables all the way to the window from the main aisle. We all scooted in and sat down, it was a little bit of a tight fit, but we made it work. It was beyond noisy in here, but we were able to convey what we wanted to our severs for drinks. While drinks were being prepared, chips galore showed up to the table. We had an array of dipping going on. Some with their salsa, some with their queso, some with the guacamole. This could have easily spoiled my dinner and refraining was hard to do for me. Then, I was saved for a bit, my drink showed up. I went with a frozen lime margarita. My water glass got skipped when they filled them all up. This margarita was the perfect pairing with all the spice I was intaking. When it came time to order, I went with the Chicken Enchiladas. This is two corn tortillas filled with shredded chicken and then topped with chile ancho sauce and melted cheese. Lettuce and tomato sat to the side, but I also added rice and fried beans. I love when a plate looks pretty, but plays sloppy when eating. I don't mind things falling apart, I mean I do sometimes too. In the end, you got this delicious mess in front of you. Mix it all together with the beans, rice, lettuce, tomato and you got yourself a whole new meal. I was so full after downing this that I felt pleasantly sleepy. I'm making myself writing this out right now and might head that way after work.

I always enjoy stopping through Lauriol Plaza for their a drink and a bite to eat! They have a variety of drink options- the sangria and frozen margaritas being my favorite. When the weather is beautiful, the outdoor seating option is nice and the service is always great!
